Thanks to her, I have learned what being a true leader is from the very start of my nursing career. She is dedicated to her staff and the patients that we serve. Treena is someone whom you can rely on without hesitation.
Treena, I can't say enough about you. You work all the time to make sure your departments and employees are taken care of, and it shows.
I have been in the hospital 3 times over the last few years, and you have always overseen my care. When I had my pneumo, the only room available was the room my mother had died in, and you had the staff move a patient to that room so I could be in another room. I was told that you stayed by my side a lot that day, and my family noticed. My daughter-in-law talked about how much love you had for me that day. Once again, I just got out of the hospital, and there you were, making sure I was doing what I needed to do, only because I am so hardheaded. I remember one time when I was in the hospital, you stepped in and did overhouse and called me to ask questions. I tried to get you to get me a BETSY so I could work from my room. You set me straight real quick. Where would I be without you!
You always go out of your way for everyone, and now it's time for me to share how much you mean to me.
Thank you again for always being the leader you are.

Treena is one of the most dedicated nurse leaders I have had the privilege of working with. Thanks to her, I have learned what being a true leader is from the very start of my nursing career. She is dedicated to her staff and the patients that we serve. Treena is someone whom you can rely on without hesitation. Now getting to see the leader side of her from a peer perspective shows me even more how deserving she is of this award. She makes sure that her patients are getting the highest quality of care and that her staff is safe and taken care of.
She is quick to jump in and help in all areas of this organization, not just her own. She invests in our leadership group and is willing to share the knowledge she has. It makes the transition into leadership so much easier knowing you have someone like Treena who is willing to help you in any way possible, whether it’s budgeting or being a listening ear with a dilemma that you aren’t sure how to handle. When you think about a DAISY Nurse Leader, you should think about Treena Turner.
She shows compassion, mutual respect, and is a problem solver, an advocate, and an encourager.
