She made my father feel as if he was one of her family members that she was caring for.
Patient: Tracie was very sensitive to my needs and treated me with lots of love and care. She communicated with me very well, especially since I am hard of hearing. She took her time to explain what she was doing or what she needed to do. She provided care for me and showed that she really respected me, and I trusted her. Tracie showed a lot of compassion for me. Her smile made me feel very good and kept me calm. She has a beautiful personality and shows it. I always smiled at her when she came to help me. I am very thankful to have had her as my nurse and as one of my angels.

Patient's Daughter: My father is a 91-year-old male who has been a quadriplegic for six years. He also is extremely hard of hearing and in order to communicate with him, one needs to write the information down on a board. This allows him to read what you are saying and then he knows what you’re talking about. I am writing this for my father and also because I was present during some of the interaction with Miss Tracie.

I want to add that she is very professional but also knows how to express empathy for her patient. She has a sweet personality and seems to be extremely knowledgeable about her job. She made my father feel as if he was one of her family members that she was caring for. She never seemed to be tired of listening to my dad and following through with his wishes. She seemed to be energetic whenever she was working with him.

I thank her for being there for him in his time of need while he was in the hospital. My father did not want her to leave, but understood when her shift was over. My father came to her floor after receiving emergency surgery for putting one stent in the right kidney and one stent in the left kidney. She helped his day to be very comfortable for him and for our family. I will never forget the smile she brought to my father’s face, it warmed my heart.
