Toni is not only an incredible nurse and manager, but she naturally calms people with her presence and inspires everybody (nursing, allied health, medical and support services) to raise their standard of care. I have witnessed her in incredible situations over the last 15 years, in all of which her respect, compassion, and skill never waver. Although she has been nursing for many decades, her commitment to self-development, humble nature, determination, and kindness have driven many of our teams' quality improvement projects and fostered a positive culture. I feel she is THE example of CARE values in an Extraordinary Nurse and fosters positivity and excellence. She advocates strongly for our patients and staff, creates a supportive environment, and is the glue that holds the department together in rough times. She makes everyone (patient, staff, or relative) feel valued and respected. She is incredibly skilled and always looking to improve outcomes for our patients, and in hard times, she will always step up to guide us. Many of her achievements will go unrecognised as she promotes others constantly, but I hope you can recognise her and acknowledge her impact on not only 2J but the RHH culture.
