I lost my baby at 15 weeks. I was induced, and she was incredible through the whole process. She wiped my tears, she listened to my biggest worries, and helped make sure I got to take my baby home in a couple of days, not just leave him to become medical waste, which was a huge fear of mine. She over-explained every step of the process and made sure I felt as little pain as possible. Mostly, she assured me I did a good job, I didn’t do anything wrong, and she was so respectful of my baby when she didn’t expect to deliver him. She gave me all the time I wanted to hold our son and gave us a keepsake for him. She held me while getting the epidural and wiped my tears. She told me I was doing what’s best for my baby. She was exactly what I needed during the hardest day of my life. I was very aware I usually wouldn’t go to L&D at 15 weeks, but everyone was so, so respectful of my wishes that I wanted him to have a regular labor because he deserved that respect. I appreciate the hospital so much for how this was handled.

Thank you, Tomoko, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
