I am writing to nominate Nurse Tighe for the DAISY Award, as she has been an extraordinary presence throughout my chemotherapy journey. I had the privilege of being under her care during my treatments, and I believe she truly exemplifies the qualities of a nurse who goes above and beyond. From the very beginning, Tighe demonstrated remarkable attentiveness, kindness, and dedication. She always took the time to listen to my concerns and made me feel heard, which made a world of difference during such a challenging period. Every treatment was smoother because Tighe was consistently prepared, ensuring that my needs were met before I even had to ask. Her foresight and preparedness were exceptional and greatly eased the stress of my treatments.

What truly set Tighe apart was her unwavering empathy and her commitment to providing personalized care. She paid careful attention to every detail of my treatment plan, taking into account both my physical and emotional well-being. She made me feel like a person, not just a patient, and I always knew she genuinely cared for me. Even though my treatments concluded more than seven months ago, the positive impact Tighe had on my life remains.
