Our son was in a motor vehicle accident and sustained multiple injuries. His worse injury was what Dr. Simpson described as a ‘Catastrophic Abdomen.’

During our 30 day stay, we spent approximately 19 days on the 8th floor. During that time we had many good nurses. But the nurse that stands out above all is Tiffany Munro. Being a nurse for 23 years and having been a nurse manager, I would have jumped at the chance to have Tiffany as part of my team. Tiffany goes above and beyond for the patient as well as their family. Not only does she have strong clinical skills, she is a true people person. When our son would be down and feeling pretty blue over his illness, Tiffany would walk in and it would instantly brighten his mood. She was always kind, caring, and very compassionate. She was always on the ball to make sure my son’s pain remained controlled and if he needed anything else, she was always ready.

The emotional support she gave my son and our family through this very difficult time meant the world. When Tiffany was around, I felt like I could let my guard down and just be ‘mom.’ We trusted her! I could go on and on about how much she is appreciated. As a family, we hope you will help us honor Tiffany by giving her the ‘DAISY Award.’
