Tiffany is a transformational leader who earned my trust and respect. For over ten years that I have worked at MC-ROC, I have experienced how well she pays close attention to her team/staff’s needs and how she is always willing to support each individual’s desire for professional growth and development.

Through her mentorship and guidance, a PCT and admin staff finished their nursing course, and I was able to finish my MSN. She is an intelligent leader who always encourages everyone to think outside the box. She is open to new ideas, e.g. how we can improve patient, staff safety and overall process in the clinic.

Through her strong leadership and clear vision, our clinic created the MC-ALERT system - a faster system to alert nurses and admin staff during a medical emergency or situations needing staff/security assistance using walkie-talkies in each clinic, including the lab. This project set a precedent for other Children’s National ROC managers to follow.

Her continued enthusiasm helped us develop the two MC-ROC SNL councils - Bear COPS (Council on Patient Safety) and Bear CHAMPS (Council on Holistic Ambulatory Patient Services). Her new MC-ROC/Frederick ROC newsletter project was well-supported by the team. We enjoyed doing our assigned jobs because she makes us feel that everyone is important and that collaboration in harmony is necessary for our group’s success.

Tiffany has always been an advocate of Wellness and is always concerned for the staff’s well-being. Her office is always open for everyone. She makes time to listen to concerns, issues, and suggestions even if she has important meetings to attend.

For what she has done for MC-ROC and Frederick ROC, I truly believe that she deserves the DAISY Nurse Leader Award.
