My patient suddenly had a change in condition, and we had to call a stroke alert. I asked Terrill to evaluate the patient with me since she had her the previous night. While I was working up the patient's stroke alert, Terrill discovered that she and the patient were of the same faith. Terrill took it upon herself to sit down with the patient and pray with her health and protection. In doing so it allowed me to focus on the medical aspect of her care, and Terrill to provide emotional and spiritual support during this scary time.
Terrill exemplified the BayCare Values of Trust, Dignity, and Excellence these are the reasons why I believe she would be an exceptional recipient of The DAISY Award.
