While having a really bad day, I was considering leaving the rehabilitation program early. Terri took me aside and spent extra time listening to me. She talked with me and helped me think through the decision. Her patience and understanding without judgment helped me realise what a mistake I would be making if I left the program early.

She displayed a commitment to serve and advocate for me to remain in the program. She acted with integrity and respect by providing me dignity while maintaining my trust and confidence by being patient, non-judgmental, and using kind words to help me work through my issues. 

She demonstrated excellence in her treatment and care for me. It is because of her that I decided to remain in the program, and I would probably be back on the streets again if she had not taken that extra time to listen, hear me out, and help me work through it in a dignified way.
