What to say about Mrs. Terri? When I came here as a new OR nurse last year, she was one of my mentors. I was immediately impressed with her overall competence and her concern for the patient. She is a textbook OR nurse circulator; she does everything by the book and does so with a quiet confidence that is very much Mrs. Terri. It is who she is, as a person and as a nursing professional. Her attention to detail and organizational skills are unsurpassed, all the while making it appear effortless and second nature because, for her, it absolutely is.

The way she connects with her patients and interacts with the families of those we care for exemplifies why we are here and why we do what we do; it's all about the patient and their care. She not only contributes to our patients and their families, but she also cares for us. If there is a holiday celebration or party of any kind, you can bet that celebration was her idea, she organized it, she decorated for it, or all of the above. Mrs. Terri has a finger on the pulse of the whole department and stays plugged into everyone, all while providing the highest level of care for those we serve. She truly has a servant's heart and deserves to be recognized, though she will argue that she does not; that is also very much Mrs. Terri. She gives of herself, never asking anything in return. Terri Harrison is a wonderful coworker, nurse, and person. I am honored to work and serve alongside her.
