There are no words to fully capture what Teri did for our family on the hardest day of our lives. She was the steady presence we didn't even know we needed, carrying the weight of impossible decisions so that we could focus on loving our daughter, H, in her final moments. Even as she took those burdens from us, she made sure our voices were heard, honoring every wish we had for H's last day. Teri created a space of peace and beauty in the midst of heartbreak. When the time came to remove the ECMO machine, she took great care in removing every piece of medical equipment from the room, allowing us to see H as our child, not as a patient, not as her machines, but simply as our sweet girl. She dressed H in her favorite dress, brushing her hair and making sure she looked as beautiful as ever. Because of Teri, H's last day was filled with love, dignity, and comfort. She gave us the gift of being fully present with our daughter, free from the weight of medical complexities. For this, we are forever grateful.
