Management Input:
I am consistently impressed by the efforts of Tenzin Norzom. She is a kind soul who provides genuinely compassionate care to our Veterans. Tenzin embraces the ICARE values daily, and this shows through the constant recognition she receives from the Veterans.
Positive work culture is so vital. Positive work culture starts from the front-line staff, led by example. Tenzin treats her work as a vocation, a mission if you will.
Tenzin always displays a smile, a helping hand, and a positive outlook despite days when it is hard to maintain them. Tenzin is always willing to help a co-worker during a time of need. Tenzin is also always willing to help patients outside of her assignment because that’s how she is built as a person.
Veteran/Family Input:
Tenzin is a very caring nurse who went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable the first night I was on the floor. The night I was on the floor, she washed my hair, and it was so clean; she did it with such gentle care. She then also helped me bathe and get dressed in something I can’t do on my own.
It was nice to be cared about, and she always listened to me and how I felt. Never making me feel like I was too much trouble or an inconvenience. I had a 50/50 chance of surviving my surgery and a high chance of being intubated afterward.
She has a soft-spoken, pleasant demeanor, and I am so thankful she was my nurse. I felt like I mattered and that I was a human, a girl. Tenzin stood out.”

We have the pleasure of Tenzin’s caring nature working with my husband to get him well again. She cared for him a few months ago when he was hospitalized for about five weeks.
Tenzin takes her time to listen to him and his family members. She is very attentive, thorough, and always there to answer questions and listen to our concerns. She is very, very smart and goes beyond the patient’s room to gather information at the request of his wife.
She takes the time to explain any changes in Pete’s feeding tube schedule after his tube came out and had to be replaced. Tenzin is a treasure, and we have been very fortunate to have him caring for our loved ones and us.
