I spent 12 weeks in the Cardiac Rehab program, and nurse Tena stands out as someone who went above and beyond. I was extremely anxious about increasing my heart rate, and Tena always made a point to check in with me.

Her calm demeanor and compassionate approach eased my fears. She took time to explain what was happening in my heart, even getting diagrams to help me truly understand the purpose and benefits of cardiac rehab.

I struggled to understand my somewhat unusual diagnosis. Tena not only answered all my questions to the best of her ability but went a step further and reached out to the medical library to find articles and educational materials that would help.

Her support wasn’t limited to clinical explanations. Every day, she brought warmth and encouragement. Even on days she wasn’t assigned to work with me. She greeted me with a kind smile and uplifting words when I needed them the most.

She celebrated my goals and progress, no matter how big or small.

The entire cardiac rehab team is incredible, but nurse Tena’s dedication, empathy, and commitment to truly individualized care made my experience exceptional. She made a difficult journey, not only manageable but empowering.
