She showed NOTHING but kindness, compassion, understanding, empathy, and heart. She not only showed those qualities, but she also remained completely professional.
Taylor went above and beyond for a patient today, who wasn't even part of her department. The patient came to my desk to register for a different dept but was in a rather uncomfortable situation because of an incident involving bowel incontinence. They were unsure of what to do and were asking for help. I went right to Taylor for that. She was the first person I thought of because I have personally seen how she interacts with patients.

How she shined in THIS situation was absolutely no different. I explained the situation to her, and she dropped what she was doing and took charge. She pulled certain supplies that were needed, placed them in a discrete bag, and then went and spoke with the patient and his family. HOW she spoke to them is really the reason why I am nominating her. She showed NOTHING but kindness, compassion, understanding, empathy, and heart. She not only showed those qualities, but she also remained completely professional. She then helped the patient into a room in her dept, gave them the privacy they deserved, and then proceeded to clean up after them.

Taylor is one of those nurses you can tell really loves their job. She says it all by her demeanor towards others. She is great at making patients feel comfortable and relaxed, and she always has a cheerful attitude. I think she is an amazing addition to the Endo dept. I don't know if this is her first nomination, but I can promise that if this is... it won't be her last. She deserves to be recognized for how she was today and really for how she is every day.
