You made her feel safe, valued, and genuinely cared for in one of the most challenging moments of her life.
To Nurse Taylor Seitz, I don't even know where to begin because words alone cannot fully express my gratitude for the extraordinary care you provided to my auntie. From the moment you stepped into her room, you not only became her nurse but also her advocate, comfort, and support despite the language barrier. You made her feel safe, valued, and genuinely cared for in one of the most challenging moments of her life. When we received the devastating diagnosis, my cousin and I were overwhelmed with guilt, feeling like we had somehow failed her. But you, with your calm and compassionate presence, reassured us that this was not our fault. You didn't just care for my auntie; you cared for us, too. You took the time to involve us in every decision, ensuring we understood every step of her care. You rounded on us as if we were patients ourselves, checking in on our well-being when we felt lost and helpless. Your kindness and dedication made all the difference. You provided not just medical care but also emotional support, comfort, and dignity to my auntie when she needed it most. You saw her as a person, not just a patient, and that meant everything. Even though she couldn't express it in English, I know she felt your warmth and sincerity. This was the best experience I've ever had at UW Health, and it's because of you. Thank you for being the kind of nurse who doesn't just do a job but makes a lasting impact on the lives of the people you care for. My auntie will never forget you, and neither will we.
