Taylor stands out above and beyond everyone because she has the kind of personality that assures you she’s got your loved one and she’s got your back.
Taylor is so special.  As I waited for my Dad to get better and breathe on his own (I held his hand as I wrote this nomination), this is how much she impacted us:  Taylor literally gave her time, mind, expertise, empathy, and compassion!

She genuinely cares as much as we do.  We did not have to worry with Taylor around.  She always had my Dad’s best interests at heart.  She knew him for a short period of time, but she remembered all the most important things, like whether or not his feet were covered, whatever was needed to make sure he didn’t have leg cramps, and even remembering my Dad’s favorite music.

Taylor has a great positive outlook.  She does her work carefully and efficiently.  You don’t have to ask her many times to look after someone; she does everything on her own.  She didn’t even make a big deal when she needed to go to the ER herself.  She even came back and checked in with us before her shift was complete. That is remarkable!  She came in the next day for her education and still made sure we were okay.

Taylor stands out above and beyond everyone because she has the kind of personality that assures you she’s got your loved one and she’s got your back.  You don’t have to worry about going to the bathroom, eating, taking a nap before coming in, etc.  She made sure that my Dad was changed, cleaned, medicated, and comfortable.

Taylor was so caring and took care of our Dad on his last full day on earth.

She is a sigh of relief. I don’t know anyone who would care about doing their best after going to the ER themselves. Every day is a good day with Taylor!  I call her “Taylor the Great”!

I literally would not take the time to write this right now about someone else while I’m rubbing my Dad’s hand and fingers and caring about his blood pressure, breath, and him being warm enough.

Taylor also explained all the improvements my Dad had made, like no blood in the stomach or bile, less sedative or oxygen, better temperature, stable blood pressure over the hours, and she even explained about a machine alert.  She gave us confidence when we were nervous, afraid, or scared.  She even knew the perfect way to support my Dad’s head, body, and breathing tubes. We’ve had a lot of nurses. She is the best of the best!

Taylor is fabulous and well-deserving of the DAISY Award!!
