We walked into the ICU after my father’s bypass surgery. Tayler was tending to my father, unaware of us walking into his room. As she watched his vitals, looked over him, she was holding his hand as he panicked from the ventilation tube. A genuine gesture of true kindness and care. My father’s recovery was complicated by having to keep the intubation tube in. Tayler kept us informed, somehow managing to keep it “English” enough for us to understand, but never felt the implication that we wouldn’t understand. Tayler was exceptionally wise and obviously skilled at her job. Her love, kindness, and compassion were such a blessing, often uncommon these days. I would like to nominate Tayler for this award, and if there are any other awards, I would do those too. On a scale of five stars, I certainly would offer many, many more. Thank you for caring so much for my father in such a genuine manner. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
