When I was in labor with my son, it came close to time to push right at shift change. I was very nervous getting a new nurse I hadn’t met right before the big moment. However, Tara was an absolute blessing. While all the nurses assigned to me throughout my stay were great, Tara stood out as absolutely phenomenal.

She came in and asked about my birth goals, told me her plan to help me achieve those, always explained what she was doing as she did it, and talked me through every detail. She genuinely made delivering my son the easiest, calmest experience I could ever hope for.

After birth, she was also amazing with my recovery care. I genuinely believe she is the reason I healed so well afterward. She took so much time and care in teaching me how aftercare went. She explained every single product, offered different options, and offered assistance every step of the way.

Lastly, she’s also the reason the beginning of my breastfeeding journey went so smoothly. She was so patient in teaching me feeding positions, how to latch my son, what a proper latch looked like, etc. Every time I called on her for help latching him, she was as patient as the first time she showed me how.

My entire family, who visited that day, couldn’t stop talking about how great Tara was and how thankful they were that she was my nurse.
