My mom was discharged from the hospital, and her continuous glucose monitor was leaking blood. We went to urgent care and met Tara. The urgent care staff seemed unfamiliar with CGM, but Tara had much knowledge about it. She immediately stepped in and explained that our sensor was in the wrong place over an arm muscle, and that is why it was leaking. She removed my mom’s sensor, educated us on the correct placement, and replaced it for us.

Tara went above and beyond and explained that she also works in primary care and was very familiar with these monitors. It set our minds at ease. A few days later, we established ourselves at our new primary care office. Tara happened to work at that office, she recognized our name in the schedule, and even popped her head in the door to say hi at our first appointment. We are thankful for her kindness.
