Tanya was absolutely amazing. She answered every question I asked about my mother and made sure I understood what she said.

During a hard time our family went through, Tanya was there to comfort us and make sure we were okay, treating us with the utmost respect.

Even though my mother didn’t make it out of there, Tanya made sure my mother was comfortable no matter what. She even stayed two hours after her shift, making sure we were okay. She even asked to have my mother as one of her patients when she came back from her night off work.

During this tough time, she made sure to let the check-in desk know that I had unlimited visits to see my mother as much as I wanted. Tanya definitely deserves the DAISY Award! The way she treated my mother and our family—if she treats every family the same way—she is a gift from the good Lord!

She needs to be recognized as a top nurse that Jackson ICU has.
