His love, warmth, and caring demeanor were truly above and beyond. Much love and thanks to Tanner.
Tanner showed extraordinary compassion when he entered my dad’s room. He didn’t just ask what we needed. He anticipated our basic needs. He brought water, a care package, and even brought extra pizza from his lunch. However, his kindness went well beyond just food. He was quick with a hug or just a touch when my father’s health worsened. He offered prayer and to sit with us during this difficult time. He not only said he cared and loved us, he showed it. He also helped me understand what was happening medically and answered my many questions about how the body functions, what we could anticipate, and even why my father’s heart rate increased after they removed the ventilator. He stayed with us for much of the 90 minutes of my father's transition. During this time, his compassion was unlike any I’ve seen. When we left the final evening after my father passed, my mom thanked him and told him how much she appreciated him. His love, warmth, and caring demeanor were truly above and beyond. Much love and thanks to Tanner.
