I was crying and worried and in so much pain but Tammy never left my side.
One morning, I unexpectedly went into labor. My husband and I didn't know what to expect while driving hastily to the hospital. You see we live in a different city and have never been to VVMC. I personally was very terrified and worried because I was having so much pain. I didn't know if my baby girl was ok because I had started to bleed.

As soon as we got to checked in and taken up to OB ward, Nurse Tammy was on duty and got straight to doing her job in the most caring professional manner. She was right there with us, assuring us everything would be ok. When Nurse Tammy checked me to see how far along I was she told me I wouldn't have time to have an epidural and that my baby girl was going to be delivered that same day. I was so scared because I was ready for my baby girl to be here. I was crying and worried and in so much pain but Tammy never left my side.

I lost my mother to cancer when I was young and going through delivery early, I needed my mother by my side but instead, I truly believe my mother sent Nurse Tammy to help me get through it all. She really went above and beyond to make sure my daughter and I were taken care of because I didn't know I was going to have my baby. I didn't have anything ready for her. Nurse Tammy sensed this somehow and went out of her way to get baby girl clothes, blankets, pampers, etc. I will always and forever be grateful to Nurse Tammy who works in the OB ward at Valley View Hospital. Thank you so much.
