We would like to nominate Tamesha Williams on PCU for the prestigious DAISY Award. This award lets the Registered Nurse know that every day she went above and beyond to provide patients and families with excellence in clinical care and compassion. From the very first time, Ms. Williams was our nurse, she was awesome both personally and professionally. Below are some of the things she did.

She introduce herself and spent time getting to know her patient all the while "assessing" her clinical progress.

She never rushed. She exhibited a calm and soothing demeanor always.

Even when cleaning the patient, she kept reassuring the patient that cleaning her was not a problem. The patient perceived this as very sincere.

She has a beautiful soul, she is bright shining light in an otherwise very challenging situation. 

It would be a delight to see this exceptional nurse be awarded the DAISY Award.
