Tamara consistently treats her patients the way that she would treat her own family. She is respectful and kind in a way that makes others feel better about themselves because of the way she treats them. This is an incredibly rare, wonderful attribute that she shares with everyone she meets. Tamara does not get flustered. When she needs to learn something new, she quickly adapts and thinks critically about the situation. She has received innumerable comments in patient satisfaction surveys expressing gratitude and appreciation for her attention to detail and patience in explaining their treatment —she is a gifted educator.

One of Tamara's patients wrote a letter to our medical director, which described how she was treated throughout her course of TMS, a form of brain stimulation used to treat depression. This patient shared how her outlook on life was extremely poor, but with the help of TMS, she was able to get better. She shared that none of that would be possible without the diligence and compassion of Tamara, who coordinated her treatment plan, talked her through each session, and held her hand when she wasn't sure she would get through it. Tamara is the most deserving, dedicated, and professional nurse I have ever met, and I earnestly hope that she earns the DAISY Award and all it embodies for our nursing profession.
