I would like to nominate Tammy for a DAISY Award because of the incredible impact she had on me during my clinical experience. I attended AltantiCare for my MedSurg clinical rotation and was assigned to observe Tammy for the day. Throughout the day, she made me feel welcomed, valued, and genuinely included as a nursing student. Having completed clinicals in various locations with many different nurses, I can confidently say that Tammy is one of the most exceptional nurses I have had the privilege of learning from.

Tammy demonstrated remarkable patience, compassion, and professionalism with both her patients and those around her. She took the time to thoroughly explain every step of her nursing care, ensuring I understood not only what she was doing, but why she was doing it. She encouraged me to be hands-on and actively involved in patient care, which greatly enhanced my learning experience and confidence as a future nurse.

What stood out most was her kindness and dedication to teaching. She never made me feel like a burden and continuously created opportunities for me to learn and grow. The lessons I gained from spending the day alongside Tammy will stay with me throughout my nursing career. I am incredibly grateful for her mentorship, and I feel honored to have had the opportunity to learn from such an outstanding nurse.
