My Dad was brought in from Perry from having a heart attack, and the plans were to do an emergency heart cath that night. But because he had fluid in his lungs, they couldn’t until the next morning. That evening, when Tairryn came in for her shift, he was pretty well out of it and going downhill. During the whole shift, she treated him like he was her own family member, and you could tell by her voice that it would start cracking like she was trying not to break down. She would lean in and speak to him very clearly and loud enough so he could hear her. He can’t without his hearing aides. Tairryn was a very compassionate person and didn’t make anyone feel like she was there because it was her job. She is very deserving of this award.
