Tabitha took care of a very sick patient and their family before he was airlifted out. She is a relatively new nurse, but did a fantastic job and really showed her professionalism and caring nature. The patient came in unresponsive and unstable. He coded twice, was intubated, and was ventilated. The family was allowed back while Tabitha was prepping the patient for flight. She took care of them, explained what had happened, what was going on, and what to expect when the helicopter arrived. She saw to their basic needs as she cared for their loved one. She did so with caring and compassion, knowledge and clarity. She brought them comfort on their worst day. The patient was flown out, and Tabitha stayed over well past her shift to ensure it went smoothly and to see the family out. Tabitha has always been an exemplary nurse, setting the standard for those we strive to be. For this, I feel she deserves recognition.  Thank you.
