Sydney Stewart, RN

Over the past five years, as our family has walked through the challenges of chronic illness with both our mother and father, we have encountered many nurses. Each has played an important role in their care. However, there has never been a nurse who so fully embodied compassion, professionalism, and genuine human understanding as Sydney!

Her ability to care for our father with such attentiveness and dignity was extraordinary. Just as remarkable was her gift for communication and explaining complex medical situations to him in a way he could understand, while also keeping our family informed with clarity, patience, and reassurance. In moments that could have easily felt overwhelming, she brought calm, confidence, and comfort.

As a family, we unanimously agree that she is the most exceptional nurse we have ever encountered. Knowing that our father was under her care brought us tremendous peace of mind. Her presence made an incredibly difficult season more bearable, and her compassion will never be forgotten.

We are honored to nominate her for this Award, as she truly represents the very best of what nursing and patient care should be.
