Once my husband had joined the OR, Suzy made sure that he was present and supporting me while she used our phones to document the birth of our first baby.
My husband and I came in for an induction and had the pleasure of having Suzy as our nurse. We hit it off right away with Suzy. She goes above and beyond her duty as a nurse. She properly educated us on the induction process. Also, making sure that we have any questions to ask them at any time, and that communication is key. Before we started the induction process, while on the monitor, our baby's heart rate decelerated. Suzy became concerned as we did. She used her nursing knowledge and wasn't comfortable taking the medication for the induction because of the stress of the baby. She listened to me with open and non-judgmental ears about the concerns about my baby's safety. I told her that a C-section wasn't off the table and whatever needed to be done to deliver a healthy baby girl was what I wanted.

Let's fast-forward to the time of my C-section. Suzy and I communicated about how I was terrified of the procedure. My emotions and anxiety were high. Suzy comforted me by talking me through everything, giving me her hand to hold, and also helping me maintain my posture and breathe slowly and steadily for the spinal procedure. We also bonded over Metallica; she suggested we listen to Metallica during the C-section to comfort me. Once my husband had joined the OR, Suzy made sure that he was present and supporting me while she used our phones to document the birth of our first baby. The pictures that she captured are a lifetime memory. She picked out a hat with the thought of my baby's of Krimson, adding that personalized touch to our birth. She looks really cute in her crimson colored hat! Suzy is truly a gift to Bronson L&D. She is beyond loving and caring for her patients and goes the extra mile to make sure that everyone is taken care of. She is amazing at her job and wears the Bronson name with pride, and works by the Bronson mission statement to give excellent care to every patient and family.
