Sue Coady is truly deserving of this award. She went above and beyond her call of duty to save a patient’s life; indeed she truly “saved him” per Doctor Hoffman. In December, she assessed that her patient rapidly deteriorated and called a Rapid Response. She assisted to stabilize her patient for approximately 3-4 hours. She gave blood, assisted with transport to the Operating Room. She assisted Doctor Hoffman in the OR, stabilizing the patient; he was critical and profusely bleeding. She without hesitation jumped right in and gave it 200%. She is truly an asset to FCCC. Her exemplary skills and dedication and patient’s advocacy maintained stability of the patient. Her knowledge and expertise was amazing on this day. She far exceeded her expectation of RN. She truly is a DAISY in this life saving event.
