Steve has helped in the ED with our most difficult patient, an ECMO transfer, as we stabilized this patient on ECMO and transferred them out.
Steve in the ICU is wonderful. When we arrived, at first, he gave us great solace and was helpful in giving us directions and reassuring us. Thank you, Steve. He is a very good representative for the hospital.

I precepted Steve, and he endured an intense program as an ER new grad and explored another specialty in which he very clearly thrives and excels in, the ICU. Because of this, he has become one of our respected ICU RNs as he understands that we need to get patients transferred from the ER and takes the extra effort to call over and help decompress the ER when he knows he's getting a patient. He has also come over to see his patients beforehand to see if he can move them over. Steve has helped in the ED with our most difficult patient, an ECMO transfer, as we stabilized this patient on ECMO and transferred them out. We appreciate Steve and that he has experience in the ED before going to the ICU. He still remembers us when he's working in the ICU and helps maintain a healthy relationship between both departments. He is a valuable and irreplaceable Sutter nurse.
