Stephanie is a great team player, leader, and nurse. She is a very strong advocate for her patients, ensuring they receive the care necessary. She once cared for a pregnant patient not in our labor and delivery unit, and recognized there was something wrong. She fiercely advocated for this patient, and because of her diligence, mom and baby had a good outcome. Stephanie has also advocated for a patient with an extensive wound to be transferred due to the type of wound it was. She knew that we did not have the resources at our facility to manage this patient or provide the care necessary. Her persistence ensured this patient was transferred to an appropriate facility to receive the care she needed. This caregiver is continuously picking up extra shifts to ensure we have adequate staffing to safely care for our patients. She is a tremendous leader and even in the most critical situations, she remains calm, ensuring that the situation goes as smoothly and quickly as possible to provide the care needed. She cares not only about her patients but also about her fellow caregivers.
