It was hard to narrow down a couple of examples because there are honestly so many that could be given. She has a compassionate heart and is easy to approach with questions and concerns.

One day, a young woman came in without an appointment and was a bit vague on why she needed to be seen. It was approaching the end of the day. Something just didn't feel right. I went and talked with Stephanie, and she immediately brought the patient back to a room. The patient was having a mental crisis. Stephanie had a Provider come into the room and then was able to reach out to the proper channels and get the patient immediate help. She did this with care and respect. The patient could have easily been scheduled for another day without realizing the full magnitude of what was going on. 

Another example is not in an office setting. She was driving home with her family from a day at a lake and noticed a man slumped over a lawnmower. She ended up stopping and went to help the man. She was able to give CPR and managed to keep him alive until the ambulance arrived. The gentleman had a heart attack, and without her heroism, the outcome may have been very different.  She's not a person who boasts about helping others, but her act of kindness saved a man's life.
