Stella is an extraordinary ANI on 4N. She is often referred to as "Mama Stella" because she truly looks out for and cares for all the team members during her shift. From the start of the pandemic Stella had volunteered to work on the COVID psych unit, should we ever need one. Recently our unit prepared to receive COVID psych patients. Stella is a true leader. She connected with the team and briefed them on the situation and patient. She served as a safety monitor, ensuring that the staff had proper PPE donning/doffing while providing care. She also provided patient care by answering call lights to give the other team members a break. The following day she returned with a positive attitude ready to do it all over again. She role models CICARE and she is an astute clinician who is well respected by her peers.
