Apart from her sincere friendliness, interest, and enjoyable conversation, she knew to dim the lights, and bring in a white noise machine, a lavender patch, and a cup of morning coffee the next day.
Steff must have spent 20 minutes making sure I was comfortable for the night- above and beyond what I would have expected!  Talking with her you could tell just how much she cares. Such a great quality.  I also felt that she was a great professional and does an outstanding job!  I couldn’t be more pleased with my care!

Overnight after surgery, all staff was extraordinary, but Steff succeeded in that extra consideration when I needed it.  Apart from her sincere friendliness, interest, and enjoyable conversation, she knew to dim the lights, and bring in a white noise machine, a lavender patch, and a cup of morning coffee the next day.  Truly a genuine, engaging, and interesting asset to your program and facility!  Well done!

Steff came on for her night shift.  I don’t remember the conversation clearly, but she made note of the book I had brought in “To Kill a Mockingbird.”  She echoed the universal opinion that it is a great book and I read it off and on throughout the evening.  I was in and out of sleep and often checked upon.  While I was reading late she noticed my trouble sleeping and noted my recovery was going well and offered to get up and try walking a bit, and that she would help me with the IV and bladder irrigation.  I agreed.  It would have been easy for anyone to just leave me to my book, but Steff knew that getting up early and walking was good for recovery. She made certain my rear was covered with a robe and we made our way down the hall and back.  I felt that Steffani’s attention to my case and willingness to help me advance my recovery was above excellent.

Steff exudes a special warmth and caring that you can just feel when she enters the room.  She also has a great sense of humor and relatability that is hard to define (especially for the sleep-deprived).  She is very proactive in patient care and makes you feel special and heard.  Somehow, with all the patients she juggles, she always makes you feel safe and that you have someone who is genuinely looking out for you and keeping you safe by advocating for you.  She is a ray of light to me and my brother during a dark time – I know that is corny but it's also true.  I will never be able to thank her enough!

Steff was my evening nurse for both of the nights I was there.  When Steff would stop to check on me and give me meds she took time to give a personal touch to the care she gave.  She asked questions about me and my family and in turn, I learned about her and her family. This made me feel more than just a patient to her during my stay at the hospital.  She is very much appreciated.
