Starla took control of my medicine situation. They were incorrect in the system, and she took the time and patience to straighten it out in spite of my frustration. She had a student, and it was wonderful to watch her train. She allowed her to start my IV, which was done perfectly. Starla always came into my room with a smile. Kudos to you, Starla!

The first time he stood, his drain poured blood. 4 dressing changes, 3 gown changes, and her new shoes were covered. She had a no-nonsense “get this done” attitude. Very rare attribute! It settled us down and diffused a situation that could have gone very badly.

The helpfulness of greeting myself and helping my wife get settled in, and answering all of our questions, was incredible. By making my wife’s safety a concern, she made it so I felt safe leaving her in the care of this team and the hospital as a whole. This is the first time I have left my current wife with anyone. I had lost a wife from my first marriage due to terminal illness, so leaving a second alone for the first time was hard while in the hospital. Also, it made our grandson so happy when his Band-Aid gave him super strength.
