My mother arrived at Kings Mtn Hospital in critical condition. Stacey was so kind and informative the minute we got there. The doctor informed me that my mom was not going to recover. Immediately, we began calling family members.

I have a nephew in the military who is stationed in Camp Lejeune. The protocol involves submitting a message through the Red Cross. I asked Stacey if she was familiar with the process. She said no, but she did research and gave her name as the hospital contact.

I was able to submit the claim; the Red Cross called to verify the info. Because of Stacey’s action, my nephew was home by Monday evening. He has been able to visit with my mom in what may be her last days, thanks to Stacey.

Also, Stacey provided snacks, coffee, and water while we waited in the lobby for my mom to be transferred to Atrium in Shelby. She gave us hope during this difficult time with her kind and sympathetic actions.
