Due to my rehab, it's taken a few days to get pen on paper to describe to you my recent surgery and my stay at Seton Medical Center Harker Heights. First of all, I'd like you to know that I've been admitted to some of the finest and highest-rated hospitals in the United States and around the world. Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is most definitely on a par with the best of them.
From walking through the front doors and being met for my pre-op labs and testing, and again for my surgery reporting in. We are guided to the pre-op area where I am treated with the utmost dignity and respect. The Nurse readied me for surgery and ensured that I was comfortable at all times while awaiting my surgical procedure. The Anesthesiologist explained the entire anesthesia process and administered my peripheral block with ease, and then I was off to the OR, where I was met by a surgical team of nurses and my surgeon. Wow! What a well-oiled machine. It all went like clockwork!
Next, I awaken in the recovery area where I am treated by Stacey Ellis, the epitome of what every nurse should strive to be-- a caring and compassionate patient advocate. I am quite sure that my quickened recovery was due to her diligence and patient-centered treatment. Then I am transported to the ward by Stacey, where we are met by my care nurse, who exudes warmth and concern for my well-being.
