We would like to recognize Spencer Todd (Neuro ICU) for the extraordinary compassion and care she provided during one of the most devastating moments of our lives. Our father suffered an unexpected and catastrophic hemorrhagic stroke. Within 12 hours, we were faced with the heartbreaking decision to withdraw care and transition him to hospice.

He went from being an active, joyful man to completely unresponsive, and our family was overwhelmed with grief. Spencer brought peace to those painful days. She treated our father with the utmost respect and tenderness, and her empathy extended to each of us. We could feel her compassion in every interaction. She cared for him as if he were her own, and for us with tears in her eyes.

It was clear that her heart ached alongside ours. Her kindness and presence were a gift we will never forget. In a time of unimaginable sorrow, Spencer helped us feel supported, understood, and cared for. We are so grateful that she was by our side, and we truly believe that families who encounter her are blessed. We know we were. Spencer is an exceptional nurse, and we hope this reflects the deep appreciation we hold for the comfort and humanity she brought to our family.
