Sol's name will forever hold a special place in my heart.

It all started when I was hospitalized for two weeks at 30 weeks pregnant with my second child. Sol was my night nurse, and she listened to my fears, worries, and anger without ever doubting me as a mother. She cared for me like no one else.

She checked on my mental health as well as my husband's, always making us feel secure and confident in the doctors' decisions. Sol made sure everything was going well with both me and my baby, ensuring I received my medication on time and that I was being treated properly.

When we parted ways, I was so sad and wondered if I would ever see her again.

Then, at 39 weeks and 3 days, as I was bringing my baby into the world, that same nurse walked into the room, ready to hold my hand and make sure everything was okay.

I started pushing before the doctor was able to make it into the room, and she was prepared to catch my baby if needed. She never left my side.

Even when I began shaking uncontrollably, she could tell by looking into my eyes that something was wrong. While my husband attended to our newborn, she attended to me, making sure I was warm enough and not in pain.

I will forever be grateful that she advocated for me when no one else wanted to listen.

After giving birth, I was in significant pain, and she knew it wasn't just normal postpartum discomfort. She believed me. As it turned out, I had developed a postpartum infection, and she was there with me through it all.

Thank you a million times over for always going above and beyond for me in ways no one else ever did. You have such a beautiful soul, and I will be forever grateful for your kindness, compassion, and unwavering support.
