Silvia just lights up our side of the clinic with her laughter and funny stories.
I enjoy working with Silvia. It is amazing how she anticipates the patients' needs and my needs as a provider. She is sensitive to the MPAs, when they are by themselves, she makes sure that she makes follow-up appointments for the patients before they leave. She loves elderly patients and takes excellent care of them. She walks them to the lab or X-ray department when they do not have a family member accompanying them, and goes over the instructions carefully. I love the way she highlights the instructions for all our patients with her pink and yellow highlighters and goes over the instructions, stressing changes and special instructions. One scenario that jumps to my mind is when she took the time to call a specialty clinic to help this gentleman obtain an appointment. He was overwhelmed because he is very hard of hearing, speaks only Spanish, and does not have his children close by to help him. I could go on and on, but I am just going to summarize by saying, this: Silvia just lights up our side of the clinic with her laughter and funny stories. I enjoy working with her and I am lost without her.

Silvia is a joy to work with. She lights up the place when she is there. Her enthusiasm and laughter are contagious. She takes excellent care of the patients who come into the clinic. She anticipates my needs as a provider. I love the way she gives the patients their instructions, going over everything again, and highlighting different important points with her pink and yellow highlighters. She takes excellent care of our elderly patients, at times when they are not accompanied by family she escorts them when they have to go to the lab or pharmacy. In one instance, a Spanish elderly man was very anxious and frustrated because he was unable to call a specialty clinic. Silvia took the time to call the clinic and make him an appointment. Silvia has started taking on new responsibilities at the clinic precepting new nurses coming in, and participating in the Flu drive. I am so very lucky that I have Silvia as my nurse, she makes my life better at work.
