With 17 years of dedicated service to the VA, Sheryl was a remarkable nurse whose warmth and compassion touched countless Veterans in Med Surg, Primary Care, and Hematology/Oncology.

She was a truly special person whose warmth and compassion touched everyone around her. She was the heart of our clinic—a source of light, laughter, and unwavering support for colleagues, patients, and friends alike.

Her selflessness and dedication were evident whether she was offering a comforting smile, sharing her wisdom, or going the extra mile to care for those in need.

Sheryl’s passion extended beyond her work: she loved plants, dogs, turtles, and traveling, bringing stories of her adventures to every conversation. Through her kindness and positivity, she transformed each day and inspired us all, forming deep connections built on empathy, generosity, and genuine care.

We are endlessly grateful to have known Sheryl and to have been brightened by her extraordinary spirit. Her presence brought joy and comfort, and her thoughtful gestures—making sure everyone felt included at potlucks or remembering small details about our lives—will never be forgotten.
