My youngest daughter is the light of my life.  A very sad February day found me standing over my precious little girl when I met this very special ICU nurse.  This RN was so caring, calm, and steadfast.  She also shed tears as an understanding mother, nurse, and professional.  

While absorbing my pain, I watched as she felt every second of the pain and doubt she could plainly see in my eyes. Somehow understanding without words the hurt I was feeling she treated my daughter very caringly ---as if it were just as personal to her.  She dealt with family dynamics that I’d rather not discuss.  

As a loving father, I spent a lot of hours praying and writing.  Even after her long shift, she would come in to check on all of us. She made sure that my wife and I were OK as well.  In my opinion, she was born for nursing care and has more than mastered its many difficult moments.  

Thanks to each and all who were also involved in my daughter’s care.  Your names may be forgotten, however, your faces are not!  Thanks, and God bless the AdventHealth staff.
