She reminded us that hearing is the last sense to go, and that it was wonderful that we were all gathered around talking to her and sharing stories.
My mother is currently in comfort care. Family members have flown and driven in to say our final goodbyes. The room is packed with people, snacks, pizza boxes, and more. Sherconna has shown incredible grace, kindness, and accommodation for all our craziness. When we were in her way or needed to move or leave, she kindly reassured us that we were fine. She reminded us that hearing is the last sense to go, and that it was wonderful that we were all gathered around talking to her and sharing stories. She continued to check on us to see if we needed anything for ourselves or for Mom. My mother has a very strong faith, and I believe she placed this angel in our midst. Sherconna didn’t seem to be bothered by our questions or rattled by our presence in every corner of the room. Some people seem to be born for their jobs, and I think Sherconna is one of those individuals. She was a blessing to our family, and I’m sure to many others as well. Thank you, Sherconna!
