I will always remember how supported I felt during that visit. Because of her care, I walked into my induction feeling calmer and more reassured about welcoming my baby.
I would like to recognize nurse Sheila at Orlando Health Women's Institute Center for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, located in Osceola, who performed my NST right before my scheduled induction.
I was feeling very anxious and overwhelmed about the upcoming birth of my baby, and she immediately made me feel calm and supported. From the moment she walked into the room, she treated me with kindness, patience, and understanding. She took the time to explain what the NST would show and reassured me about my baby's well-being.
More importantly, she noticed how nervous I was and spoke to me in such a gentle and reassuring way that my anxiety started to fade. She didn't rush through the appointment. Instead, she checked in with me, answered my questions, and helped me feel more confident and prepared for my induction. Her compassion and empathy made a moment that felt scary become much more peaceful.
I will always remember how supported I felt during that visit. Because of her care, I walked into my induction feeling calmer and more reassured about welcoming my baby. Nurses like her truly make a lasting impact on their patients, and I am very grateful for the care she provided.
