Sharon met me practically every time that I was scheduled to come onto campus. Sometimes it would be for surveys or to gather data or to check how chemotherapy was going or basically to see how I was doing until the “newness” of my cancer journey was becoming normal. There was not one big impressive situation that I can refer to, but it was all the little acts of kindness that added up to my love for this young lady who took me, an elderly woman, under her wings to help me. God provided this nurse to help me navigate the unfamiliar, to have my many questions answered, and to have a familiar face greet me at each appointment. The impact that she made was of great comfort to me, just one little gesture at a time!
