Sharon Gold, RN, MSN
Sharon is passionate about her work and the impact that it has on her staff and UCLA Health patients. She advocates for patients and researches solutions until she finds the best one for each situation. Her meticulous follow-through makes her stand out as a leader on the Hi-Utilizer-Hi Readmission committee. She has also been instrumental in bridging gaps, such as identifying vendors and agencies to test in-home patients for COVID to facilitate urgent procedures. Her leadership with Health Plans and Home Health agencies in areas of collaboration and communicating care needs has consistently helped provide our most vulnerable patients with expedited services and interventions.
Most of all, she is a 'Nurse's Nurse!' She always supports our team and truly listens to our concerns about patients' needs and process improvements that affect our ultimate outcomes as a team. She jumps in whenever we need help and guidance with our complex cases. She makes sure we have the resources that we need to complete our work in a timely fashion while always maintaining her humor and grace.
Her passion is matched only by her compassion, inspiring her team to continually improve their own performance through mutual respect, peer motivation, and continuing professional development.
