There are many reasons I feel as though Shannon deserves this award. Shannon went entirely out of his way at all times to make both me and my family comfortable. His level of compassion is beyond any I've ever seen in a nurse, making sure I was physically as comfortable as possible. Shannon was always available promptly for all my needs no matter how small they were, anything from questions and hygiene products, to the necessary blood draws and meds. Shannon consistently shows his skills as well as patience, also his personality is absolutely outstanding. To be honest, his presence is calming and put me at ease, which in turn made me feel better. Another thing I noticed is he is always smiling. I had many good nurses during my stay, but Shannon by far I feel deserves recognition for his efforts as it shows he enjoys his job and is an absolutely amazing nurse and human with much compassion.
