I have had migraines, brain fog, and pain for two years due to a combat deployment. Some VA providers would not listen to me or my symptoms and just prescribed meds over and over. They also refused to source out to the community for me when I stated the lack of safety I felt with a provider. I sought out Shannon as my last hope for relief from the unknown cause of all of my symptoms, and she listened to me and advocated for me. She figured out that I have been having seizures and is taking the approach to lower pain through Botox and seizure medication. Just within a couple of weeks of starting treatment, my brain fog is gone, I’ve slept better, my pain has reduced, and I feel more like myself again. Shannon has so much care and empathy and validated that my symptoms weren’t just “in my head.” She’s giving me control of my life back.
