I’ll miss Shannon, but that’s ok because a part of her is imprinted on me to share with others I connect with later.
Shannon ranks right up there “at the top” because she is steady and always pleasant! Steady means thorough, accountable, available, reliable, and funny! Maybe it's her lightheartedness that tickles me most and silently urges me to work hard. She checks on me at times, and I feel her interest in my success. Like many here at Acute, she can make and take a joke without jeopardizing the care of her patients. I can say that personally, and see others also very satisfied.

Shannon just seems to love her work – her vocation – because it seems to make her happy helping others, no matter what. Again, it’s nothing “showy” or headline-making, but steady and dependable. When I said “vocation,” I meant it. A calling, especially for her to help others. It’s more than just giving out pills or checking blood pressure; it is relating to, connecting with me/patients, that’s that subtle special difference in whatever she does.

I also like the “bling” on her name tag! Her bling with diamonds is a joke between us. Again, a silly but real “connection!” I’ll miss Shannon, but that’s ok because a part of her is imprinted on me to share with others I connect with later. That’s the power of one in life. I’m glad I met Shannon, if only for less than 10 days!
